Responsibility for the product and complaints

Dear Clients
Products available in our bookshop are covered by the warranty. We also are legally obliged to deliver non-damaged goods (warranty). It does not concern defects that were described in description of the product causing price reduction.

If the product that you’ve received is damaged, you can choose between the following options:

a) from the right entitled within warranty at the indicated service or – independently;
b) from the warranty right ensured to You by a Seller for damaged Product. The warranty does not cover defects that were indicated in the description of the product, causing price reduction.

Physical defect is incompatibility of the sold item with the agreement. Especially if sold product is not conformable with the agreement, when product:

1) doesn’t have features, which item of this kind should have due to it’s purpose indicated in contract or resulting from circumstances and destination;
2) doesn’t have features, about existence of which Customer was informed by Seller, and Seller provided product sample or specimen;
3) if not suitable for the purpose, which was mentioned to a Seller by Customer upon contract conclusion, and Seller didn’t raised the concern about such destination of it;
4) was handed over to a customer in an incomplete state.

We are responsible for non-conformity of the product with the contract only if it’s identified before the expiry of 2 years period from the moment when Product is handed over to a Customer. Prescription period runs anew if you’ll exchange the product.

In case of non-conformity of the product with the contract you’ll have to notify us about such non-conformity not later than a year from the day when you’ll identify it. To meet the deadline you just have to send us notification (declaration) before its expiry. Description of the identified non-conformity of the product with contract has to be in writing and you should indicate the scope of your claim. You are allowed to use Complaint Form which we’ve prepared for this purpose.

If sold item is damaged you can:
a) demand replacement to a non-damaged item,
b) demand removal of defect,
c) demand price reduction,
d) withdraw from the contract, unless Seller will immediately replace damaged item to a non-damaged one or will remove defect without significant inconvenience for the Customer.

We are obliged – at our own expense – to replace damaged item to the one free of defects or remove the defect within reasonable time and without any significant inconvenience for the Customer. Deadline is assumed to be up to 14 days.

When sending complaint subject to us please attach filled-out Complaint Form or written declaration containing following details: details of complainer – name and surname, exact address and email address, product purchase date, name of the Product, purchase price, accurately described defect or circumstances which caused it, demands of the complainer. When placing a complaint please keep in mind that it is recommended to attach proof of purchase such as VAT invoice or copy of the receipt or any other indubitable purchase document.

Electronic complaint placing form

You can place a complaint to the chosen product electronically by logging into your account on the bookstore website. On the list of orders in the Customer account section next to each purchased product there is a drop down complaint placing menu available(link: Complaints). In the complaint placing box you’ll have to put detailed description of the defect.

Registered Customer can preview reported complaints by logging into the store in the tab My Account > Complaints.
